Great book if you are studying for the BCS CISMP exam I passed the exam using this book only An ideal introduction to information security and the related ISO standards. If you have no IT background and intend to take the exam, I would advise concentrating your efforts on the technical aspects of the book and potentially reading some of the further reading suggested in the book I had a small number of questions around bits which i didnt recall reading in the book.

Excellent book got me through the Certificate in Information Security Management Principles exam with a Distinction 1st time, having read it just three times To be fair, I had worked in a related field for 3 years and, as any student should, read around the subject using 2 or 3 other text books However, the statement stands, that it very much does what it says on the tin in a fairly engaging way for a relatively dry subject

Some of the contents in this book is recycled but with a twist to be different enough to make money off of it It s the only book for the CISMP exam and it s not great for prep.

Bought this as a study guide for a CISMP EXAM, but it really is well written and very accessible Would recommend for any one really to get a great understanding of IT security which is increasingly needed in this online world.

Good book going over the basics essentially ISO27001 ISO27002 The exam is a pre requisite for the CESG Certified Professional scheme so worth getting it.
